Specifications - getting the details right

Every component in our buildings is specified to make sure it’s in the right place, does the right job and performs properly. Materials and construction methods are laid down, together with relevant regulations and standards that must be met. Specifications are written and either attached to drawings for smaller projects or produced as separate documents for larger buildings. They form the basis of project costings, building regulation approvals and are used to govern operations on site.

Contracts - effecting control

Setting up and managing building contracts on behalf of our clients allows us to control operations on site and provides legal protection to all parties. Using one of a number of standard building contracts, carefully selected to suit the nature of each project, we ensure that obligations exist to govern accurate payment, timely delivery of services, quality and accuracy of construction and appropriate control of risk. We happily manage traditional contracts and the more complex arrangements for partnering applicable to the largest projects.

Personal contact - taking responsibility and building teams

Building is a very personal undertaking and we encourage everyone to contribute to the process, whether that’s a client thinking about their requirements or a builder querying a particular detail. We manage our projects by taking a deep personal interest and working hard to maintain relationships and active participation by all. Without the people we work with and for, we would be unable to function. With everyone’s skills gainfully employed, a project can only benefit.

Help, encourage and support

The bottom line is we are here to help with all aspects of planning and managing buildings. If there’s anything you don’t understand feel free to contact us and we’ll do our best to assist.
